Designed and written by Criw Cymraeg
Criw Cymraeg is a pupil voice group that focuses on the importance of Welsh in our school. We try and make our school focus on Welsh since we live in Wales and the language of Wales is Welsh. We reward pupils and teachers. Certificates and prizes are given out to pupils in KS1 & KS2 as well as a lanyard for the teachers. We have meetings for the phrase of the fortnight every 2 weeks one for KS2 and KS1, KS1 will get an easier phrase because they are starting to learn Welsh and are improving very slowly. We have a Cymraeg Campus which our school have to achieve to get a reward for it.
People in Criw Cymraeg
There are 8 people in the Criw Cymraeg and we all record our phrase of the week and post it on Twitter so everyone in our school and community can see us.
Blwyddyn 6 – Itadil, Annais and Fatima
Blwyddyn 5 – Kamila and Zahraa
Blwyddyn 4 – Iman, Fatima, Tehzeeb and Aymen
We love Welsh and have weekly meetings to talk about aims. We are currently working towards obtaining the Cymraeg campus silver award and will keep you updated on this.
Every fortnight we introduce a new phrase in assembly for staff and children to use throughout the school day. Here are the phrases we will be using this term.
Siaradwch gyda partner – Speak with a partner
Dewch yma – Come here
Wyt ti eisiau chwarae gyda fi? – Do you want to play with me?
Mynd allan i chwarae – Go out to play
Da bo chi.
